This poster was inspired by Clara Porset’s iconic Butaque Chair. The orange shape is inspired by the sleek curvature of the chair, whereas the tan elements represent the chair’s woven back. A lot of Porset’s designs were inspired by the European modernist movement; thus I decided to incorporate the typeface Futura into my design as an ode to the Bauhaus style.
