These are a series of book covers that I created for novels by American author Colson Whitehead. Each cover contains a historical image that ties into the subject matter, location, and time period of the book it adorns. The halftone dots are inspired by Whitehead's time as a writer for The Village Voice, a newspaper out of New York City. The white lines are representative of the stories as well, whether it be the paths of the underground railroad, the streets of Sag Harbor, or the blocks of Harlem.
